# How to add an existing design to a Project

Import existing designs from your Vention library into the current project.

## Prerequisites

- An existing project with editing permissions
- Design number of an existing design

## Steps to Add an Existing Design

### Step 1: Navigate to Items Tab

Click the **"Items"** tab in the left sidebar.

### Step 2: Open Import Dialog

Click the **"Existing design"** button.

### Step 3: Enter Design Number

Enter the design number. The system will display the matching design with preview.

### Step 4: Configure Options

- **Quantity:** Adjust with - and + buttons
- **Application category:** Select if required
- **Description:** Auto-populated, can be edited

### Step 5: Import

Click **"Import"**. The design will appear in the Designs section.

## After Import

Imported designs can be:

- Viewed in detail
- Opened in 3D designer
- Adjusted for quantity
- Added to cart
- Included in quotes

## Troubleshooting

- **Design not found:** Verify design number and access permissions
- **Import fails:** Check project permissions, refresh page
- **Wrong design:** Verify design number before importing
