# How to add parts

Add parts to your project for quotes and orders.

## Prerequisites

- Project with editing permissions
- Part number or SKU

## Steps to Add Parts

### Step 1: Navigate to Items Tab

Click the **"Items"** tab in the left sidebar.

### Step 2: Click Add Part

Click the **"Add part"** button in the Parts section or the “**New**” button.

### Step 3: Enter Part Number

Enter the part number in the dialog. The system displays matching part details.

### Step 4: Set Quantity and Save

Adjust quantity with +/- buttons and click **"Save"**.

### Step 5: View Added Part

Part appears in table showing name, quantity, price, and who added it.

## Part Actions

Use the three-dot menu to:

- Edit quantity
- View details
- Remove from project
- Add to cart

## Troubleshooting

- **Part not found:** Verify part number, check for typos
- **Cannot add part:** Check edit permissions
- **Wrong part added:** Use menu to remove and re-add
