# In-Design Comments

This guide will show you how to add and edit comments in MachineBuilder to better collaborate on Vention’s platform.

## **Opening the Comments Window**

To leave comments, click the **speech bubble icon** in the top navigation bar.

## **Add a Comment**

1. Click the **Add Comment** icon.
2. Type your message.
3. Click **Submit** to publish.
  - Comments are automatically timestamped and include the author’s name.

## **Pin Comments to Specific Locations**

1. Click the **Pin** icon.
2. Place it on the desired location in your design.
3. Optionally, adjust the pin’s color for better visibility.
  - Clicking a pinned comment will adjust the camera to the view where the pin was placed.

## **Edit or Delete a Comment**

1. Click the **drop-down menu** in the top-right corner of the comment.
2. Select **Edit** or **Delete** as needed.

## **Replying to Comments**

- Collaborators can reply to existing comments.
- Replies are **timestamped** and appear threaded under the original comment.

## **Resolving Comments**

1. Once an issue is resolved, the comment creator can mark it as **resolved**.
2. Resolved comments move to the **Resolved** tab.

To reopen a comment, click **Reopen** to move it back to the **Open** section.
