# Managing Collaborators

Learn how to add collaborators to your MachineBuilder designs.

## **Design Roles**

- **Design Lead**: Can view, edit, configure the design, and manage collaborator roles.
- **Collaborator**: Can view, edit, and configure the design.
- **Design Viewer**: Can only view the design; no editing permissions.

## **Manage Collaborators in MachineBuilder**

### **Adding Collaborators**

1. Click the **Add User** icon in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
2. In the pop-up, click **+Add Collaborators**.
3. Enter the collaborator's email and select their role from the dropdown menu.
4. Click **Save** to confirm.

### **Removing Collaborators**

1. Click the **Delete** icon next to their status and save.

## **Manage Collaborators in MachinePortal**

### **Adding Collaborators**

1. Go to the **Design** tab and select the design.
2. Click **Manage Collaborators**.
3. Enter the collaborator's email, select their role, and click **Send**.

### **Removing Collaborators**

1. Click the three dots next to their status and select **Remove**.
