# Saving & Revision Management

This guide covers how to use the save and revision management features in Vention’s design software.

## **Saving Your Design**

You can save your design in three ways:

1. **Menu:** Open the menu and select **Save**.
2. **Save Icon:** Click the save icon in the top navigation bar.
3. **Keyboard Shortcut:** Press **Ctrl + S** (**Cmd + S** for Mac).

## **Autosave**

By default, autosave is enabled and saves your design every minute.

- To disable it:
  1. Go to **Settings** from the menu.
  2. Toggle **Autosave** off under **General**.

## **Revision Management**

The revision management tool allows you to view and revert to previous versions of your design.

- **To open a version:**
  1. Click the version you want to open.
  2. Select **Open** or double-click the version.

Saving a previous version creates a new “branch” in the revision tree, preserving all work done.

The most recent version will always load when you reopen the design.

In collaborative projects, the tool shows which user saved the design and includes a timestamp.

## **Save As**

To create a new instance of your design:

1. Select **Save As** from the menu.
2. Enter a new name for the file. This creates a separate file of your design in its current state.
