This guide will show you how to add and edit comments in MachineBuilder to better collaborate on Vention’s platform.

Opening the Comments Window

To leave comments, click the speech bubble icon in the top navigation bar.

Add a Comment

  1. Click the Add Comment icon.

  2. Type your message.

  3. Click Submit to publish.

    • Comments are automatically timestamped and include the author’s name.

Pin Comments to Specific Locations

  1. Click the Pin icon.

  2. Place it on the desired location in your design.

  3. Optionally, adjust the pin’s color for better visibility.

    • Clicking a pinned comment will adjust the camera to the view where the pin was placed.

Edit or Delete a Comment

  1. Click the drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the comment.

  2. Select Edit or Delete as needed.

Replying to Comments

  • Collaborators can reply to existing comments.

  • Replies are timestamped and appear threaded under the original comment.

Resolving Comments

  1. Once an issue is resolved, the comment creator can mark it as resolved.

  2. Resolved comments move to the Resolved tab.

To reopen a comment, click Reopen to move it back to the Open section.
